Join James for an in-depth tasting and presentation of the Valpolicella and Soave wines of the wonderful Marinella Camerani, pictured here with her daughter. Marinella’s labels, from her estate in the higher, eastern end of the Valpolicella area, are Adalia, Corte Sant’Alda and Mithas.

Description
Marinella Camerani, star of this month’s Wine Tour, is one of Valpolicella’s great winemakers. Her reputation comes from a commitment to quality and the land. Not to mention, sheer personality. Marinella makes three labels from different vineyards in the Val di Mezzane.
The best known is Corte Sant’Alda. In this Wine Tour we will taste that label’s Soave, Valpolicella “Ca’ Fiui” and Valpolicella Ripasso “Campi Magri“.
Meanwhile, the Adalia vineyard is on the windier, west side of the valley. These wines are less concentrated and simpler: so, daily drinking wines at great prices.
Mithas is the most prestigious, and hardest to find. These are some of the best of all Valpolicella. We are lucky to have a small parcel of 2012 Mithas Amarone della Valpolicella. Because we want to make Wine Tour accessible to all, the £198.95 bottle price for 2012 Mithas Amarone is significantly underwritten.
The Marinella Camerani Wine Tour is online, via Zoom. We hope to make a small number of spaces available in the shop, as well. This is subject to our covid safety review.

Use this page to book Wine Tour kits in 50ml, 100ml, 375ml (half bottle) and 750ml (full bottle) sizes. The kits include our Deli Pack of cheeses, cured meats, grilled vegetables and olives. We are always very happy to accommodate any dietary requirements – so please do tell us what you need at the time of ordering. In addition, you can buy more Deli Packs for two for £5.50.
We send Wine Tour kits anywhere in the UK. These go with our overnight courier on Wednesday, for delivery Thursday. Please ensure somebody is at home to receive the pack. Although the foods are vacuum sealed, they are still perishable and should be refrigerated.
