On the eye: Lightly turbid purple/red in the glass.
On the nose: Aromas of wild cherries, plum and mulberry with just a touch of raspberry lift. Hints of flowers, leather, smoke, spice and herbs with wafts of liquorice, earth and mandarin rind.
On the palate: Initial fruit awash with wild cherry & tobacco leaf supporting fruit flavours of dark plum and blackberry. Very pretty on the palate with violet-like floral flicks across leather and spice;hints of roasted meats, citrus rind and herbs.
Food pairing: Can take a little bit of chilling down: grilled meats, fish, roasted veg, caramelised onions.
